In loving memory and thanksgiving for the life of Floyd Welford Moore,

September 22, 1947- May 18, 2009

Floyd Moore

The 2009-2010 edition of the Teaching Manual of the Christian Learning Centers of Augusta is dedicated with love and admiration by the Board of Directors

to the memory of Floyd Welford Moore, volunteer for three years in the program serving

John Milledge Elementary School.

It was evident by the faithfulness and joy Floyd displayed in his commitment to the program that he knew he had received a call to the Released Time ministry from the Savior he loved so much. It has been said so often by so many of us in the days since his death how good Floyd made us feel just being around him. His smile and good cheer were infectious, blessing both volunteers and students. His work in the Released Time ministry impacted many young students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His life exemplified one of his own favorite passages of Scripture: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:8.

As we prepare to begin another year of reaching out with Christian education to elementary school aged children in Richmond County, we acknowledge the loss we feel that Floyd is not with us. We believe that Floyd would have enjoyed the Praykids! booklets and the treasure box which we are including in the curriculum this year. He was all about fun!
